Be honest - are you one of those people who are very skeptical about easy offline riches? Do you think it can't be that easy to find clients, or that you don't know enough about internet marketing to prosper?
I can tell you with stone cold confidence that getting offline businesses to pay you big chunks of money is not at all impossible - in fact, it's quite easy compared to other business models.
If you don't have a ton of knowledge of Internet Marketing, fear not. The fact that you can read and find this article tells me that you can easily prosper with offline business. The "Quick And Easy" article series is going to cover this and other commonly given objections to offline business, and how you can get past them.
To begin with, one of the biggest problems people have with offline business is that they find it hard to get clients.
They have no desire to cold-call and they think that's the only way to get business. The good news is, you don't need to make phone calls at all. In this article, we're going to discuss the different benefits of Craigslist. This is just ONE way to find clients, but since it's so powerful, it warrants an entire article.
Before I get too in depth, I would like to point out that I personally LOVE Craigslist and only recommend using this tool in accordance with their terms of service.
That being said, a surefire way to find clients is to check out Craigslist and see if anyone is looking for your service. It might sound common sense - and it is - but it's still something that a lot of people don't think about. Go on Craigslist and check out "computer" under the gigs section and see if you can find anything.
Sometimes people post under the "jobs" section too, though my students and I seem to have the most success with "gigs".
Because potential clients are out there ASKING for help, this is the easiest way to find possible clients. You don't need to overcome objections at all.
Another way you can utilize Craigslist is by putting out your own ad, explaining what you can do for businesses. This would go in "computer" under "services". Make a flyer explaining what you do, and possibly offer a free consultation or some call to action to get people to respond right away.
If you're feeling resistant - please remember that even knowing how to make an AdWords ad, or to put keywords in meta tags, or what article marketing is, is revolutionary to people who aren't immersed in our business daily.
There are also tools out there that can show you, verbatim, what to say to businesses and how to critique their sites.
With that aside, if you're still feeling unsure, you can go on the "barter" section of craigslist and barter out your services in the beginning so that you can gain confidence, testimonials, and results. You can often barter for cool things, and it's almost like being paid as you dip your feet in the water.
Of course there are plenty of other tools to aquire clients and make easy offline riches, and this is one of a slew of options. Craigslist is a great way to get started and I highly recommend you start using it today.
